Timo Weiland

Timo Weiland is an award-winning Creative Director, serial entrepreneur and DJ based in New York City. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and raised between Florida and New York. After graduating from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, he worked for several years as an investment banking analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. covering Media & Technology before launching his first startup. Since 2010, Timo has successfully built a namesake lifestyle brand, as well as businesses across food & beverage, design, media, B2B intelligence, real estate, technology, and venture capital.

The brand won the prestigious Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award, Forbes 30 Under 30 List for Design, as well as the Council of Fashion Designers of America x Cadillac Retail Innovation grant. Recent projects include creative direction for GAP's Banana Republic, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG Worldwide), and one of the world's largest direct-to-consumer optical brands, Zenni. He works between his creative offices in Brooklyn, recording studio in Flatiron, and venture capital offices in Lower Manhattan.

Donna Kang

Born in Vancouver, Canada, Donna Kang grew up studying music and the arts. There, she taught herself to sew, regularly making outfits for herself and friends. She moved to New York to study womenswear design at the Fashion Institute of Technology where she majored in Fashion Design specializing in Art and Knitwear. During her last year at FIT, Kang cofounded the brand Timo Weiland with partners Alan Eckstein and Timo Weiland.

Upon graduation, she was hired to join Carolina Herrera’s design team, where she was the sole embroidery designer for the runway collections, while developing Timo Weiland. The collections she developed for Banana Republic were commercial successes. Kang went on to become the design director at Kisuii where she created the co-strategized the brand’s identity and direction. They went on to open in top accounts around the world. Kang concepted, created and co-founded Maer, a contemporary, size inclusive, direct-to-consumer womenswear brand. It was there that she created and designed the logo, brand positioning, market target, merchandising strategy, copy and social media. She also created & designed the pitch deck to secure advisors, investor, suppliers and corporate partners. She specializes in fits for men and women in sizes 0-28.

Alan Eckstein

Alan Eckstein was the Co-Founder and the Design Director of fashion label and men’s and women’s lifestyle brand TIMO WEILAND. Since the brand's inception in 2009, The Timo Weiland brand was launched into the market with a “modern prep” look- an updated twist on classic American sportswear that continues to define a fresh vision for men and women. Forbes ranked Alan Eckstein in the top 30 Under 30 in the category of Arts and Style for the year 2014. Additionally, in 2014, Eckstein and the Timo Weiland team were awarded the Ecco Domani Prize for Best Menswear. In 2015, the brand was nominated for the International Woolmark Prize (USA). The brand retail presence included Barney's New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Journal Standard among others.

Alan co-founded Somerset Studios in 2019 and now operates a strikingly beautiful retail location & staging showroom in Williamsburg. The address is 76 North 6th Street Brooklyn, NY 11249.

Isobel Shirley

Growing up in the music industry, Isobel started assisting at recording sessions and live concerts aged 14. After leaving school, she went on to study Fine Art and Central St Martins in London. During her time in London she ran various gallery and event spaces providing a platform for an international roster of emerging artists and launching them in new markets. She has curated exhibitions and shown her own work at galleries in London, New York and Chicago. 

A fascination with the intersection between business and art led Isobel into the fashion industry where, upon moving to New York in 2013, she joined the Timo Weiland brand as Sales and Marketing Director. During her time with the brand, she honed her skills in social media, branding and website design and quickly began working with the team on external consulting projects.

Working with everyone from Live Nation to SHOWstudio to Ermeneguildo Zegna, Isobel has accumulated over 12 years experience in creative collaborations, design and event production across Art, Fashion and Music.
